Three years ago, Ruth Ellison left everything behind and moved back to her family's farm in Tennessee. The land had been in the family for decades. But the numbers weren't working anymore. Her parents were getting older. Something had to change.

Most sweaters start in a factory. This one starts in a field — the same field Ruth played in as a child. The Ellison family has grown cotton on this Tennessee land for over 30 years. Every season the soil gives them what it can. Some years more. Some years less.
That is why the batch sizes change. That is why certain colors disappear. The land decides — not a production schedule.
